Starting a Business In Calgary

In the city of Calgary you can start a business by going down to city hall and filling out an application.  While you are there you can explain to them the type of business you want to start and the location of the business.  If you live outside of the city of Calgary you will need a license that allows you to work within the city limits.

If you are going to run a business from a shop then you will need an occupancy permit.  This will require different inspectors to come to your place of business to make sure that it is safe for you, your employees and your clients or other visitors.

Each year you will have to renew you business license.
